Complete Redemption

The redemption of the Lord is incredible. He can take the lowliest sinner and transform them into the purest saint through His Son Jesus Christ! It is only when we are baptized with the Holy Spirit that we can be cleansed and made new (Mark 1:8). All we need to do is admit to Him that we are desperate sinners in need of His forgiveness and believe that Jesus came to earth to die on the cross and rise again in order to wipe our sins away and give us eternal life with Him! Oh, what freedom and rejoicing this brings! Everything about us is renewed when we receive His life. We are essentially dunked in the mercy and love of Jesus and come up refreshed and forgiven. How incredible! We ought to tell others about His incredible love!

Count to three and say a prayer
Down for love and up for air
Underwater, overjoyed
Water for a thirsty soul
Water for a thirsty soul

Baptize me into Your love
Oh my spirit’s overcome
Body, mind, and skin, bone
Love Him, wanna make it known
Love Him, wanna make it known

Verses 1 and 2 “Amen” by For King and Country

Resurrection day is here
Bells are ringin’ loud and clear
Caterpillar to a butterfly
Risen to another life
Risen to another life

Verse 3 “Amen” by For King and Country

Through His sacrifice, we have a life filled with His light (John 1:4-5). There is so much darkness in this world, filled with lies and deception. We tend to get so bogged down in the busyness of life that it can feel like every day is just repetitive and meaningless. What’s the point of waking up, going to work, sleeping, repeating? Of course there may be spatterings of other activities amidst our days, but each day is still mostly going to continue in the same cycle until we die. All of this meaninglessness is a LIE! Life has so much purpose with Christ! We are living everyday in anticipation of our eternal heavenly home, and this anticipation can be lived out with joy and excitement as we tell other people about God’s love, enjoy the blessings He has provided to us, and begin to see the cycle of day-to-day life as “endless” opportunities to appreciate God’s creation and see what else He has in store for us while we’re still in this world. We can say “Amen!” ( which is essentially an agreement meaning “So be it!”) and rejoice in the new life God has given us.

I’m comin’ alive with You
I’m comin’ alive with You
I was livin’ a lie ’til you
I’m comin’ alive with You

All the people say
Amen! Amen!
All the people say
Amen! Amen! Amen!

Tag and Chorus 1 “Amen” by For King and Country

I just love the bridge of this song. Not only are we to praise God with other Christians, but we are also to shout to the rest of the world about our wonderful Savior! When we are saved by Him, His Holy Spirit fills us. We are dead to our sinful selves and made alive in Him because of His sacrifice (Romans 6 – yes, the whole chapter). God gave up His only Son for us. He gave up His heavenly home to come down in human form and suffer torture on this earth for us (John 1:10-14; Philippians 2:6-8). How can we show our gratitude and love? We must dedicate our lives to Him! Allow yourself to be overwhelmed and encompassed with Him. Confess to God and to this world that He is Lord and that He is your everything! This is something I definitely need to pray for – the courage to give it all to Him. Oh friend, He is so worth it. A relationship with Him is worth more than you can ever imagine. He is able to redeem you and make you His child and transform you into a new person (Philippians 2:9-11, 13). We are ultimately here to glorify and serve Him, for we are His precious creation. To God be all the glory! Amen!

You’re in my blood, my veins
In every word I pray
You gave it all for me
I’ll give it all for You
Oh, I’m in love with You
Overwhelmed by You
And if the world is listenin’
This is my confession
You are my obsession
